Human dignity assumes a universal appreciation of intrinsic value. The assumption can only arise from one of two things: an illusion of absolute value or an actuality of worth. Mathematically we matter not in the grand scheme of the universe unless we are immortal beings; it is only an act of bad faith to think the moment of time we exist in this form is significant in any shape or fashion if there are no enteral consequences.
